Performing experiments was the highlight of my childhood. Formal methods of learning were difficult for me due mainly to my dyslexic position. I studied and qualified as an ACCA accountant mainly due to the melancholic characteristics of the discipline.
However, throughout my professional career rarely did I perform traditional accounting roles and constantly found myself leaning more towards operational type roles where a sanguine thrives. Nonetheless, I would feel more of a a misfit or imposter in each world-in the accounting world I was labelled as too creative and out side of the box thinking, in the creative world “not creative enough to fit in”. I then found myself in a sort of no-mans area. Any move across what seemed like a solid line of separation was done cautiously but at times still result in repulsion.
"Why can't I be an accountant who is also creative?"
The question lingered in my mind “Why can’t I be an accountant who is also creative?” I struggled to find the answer to this dichotomy for years until I eventually decided to stop trying to fit in but instead accept this unfamiliar territory as my new home and simply stand out. I resolved to make brainstorming and exploring new territories as my new comfort zone fuelled by my explorative sense of adventure.
This led me to my destiny and objective to dismantle and re-construct “the line” between licensed and creative professionals and form it into a circle, taking both participants around that circle and forming a new movement.
